1) imaging techniques that don't use light have been commonplace for decades.

"photograph" in this case is just common...
i think it is just the idea of large companies owning literally everything.

i think an interesting experiment could be performed in regards to any media that one feels cannot yield art (using their own respective detailed criteria: metaphor-poetry, "transmission of life"...
the quickest way to support these arguments would be to have several photographers
approach the same subject and produce work that is not unique...this is an unlikely outcome.
what most people miss about this image is that it is a bird's eye view, and depicts a figure that has fallen out of a window.
this is not true
with all these creative minds and great artists, is it too much to ask that one day we see something new? we excuse these cliches as traditional motifs...while we yawn.
in all honesty it doesn't...

art school was the best time in my life. (i'm often puzzled as to why so many here have negative associations with art school and yet attend this one)
i still think of the smell of recycled turps...
the aliens look awful, cartoony is right ...
the rigging seems bad .... which is a shame after 98 years in production.
but that being said, the backgrounds and creatures look nice.
there is no sanctuary ....RUNNNER!!!!!!!!
a little more anatomy and gesture are needed.
but you have a great knack for drawing what you see rather than what you know.
there is no question in my mind that you will achieve...
