I use mech pencils because they're handy. My art teacher used to hate me using it P: . About the lines being consistent, only the smaller leads are that way; I prefer 1,0 2b.
I've seen other depictions and resources on the size of the ships to be more gigantic than yours, but this is a more realistic take I guess. :)

Hey-hey, thank you for the comment. :} I wanted this piece to be oil-painting like, so I went for the muddy look. I'll keep your suggestion of using bolder colours in mind. :bashful:
thanks and the arrow is invisib..no, he's got the bow from his master and he's trying the bow for the first time, feeling it, checking if it's fit.
Thanks for pointing it out :) It's the disadvantage of drawing from a picture. :rolleyes: What you see in the picture doesn't match what is on canvas.
