nice work people. Some great concepts here. 1863861
Made a few adjustments based on comments. Still not sure about the Japanese y elements. Perhaps a nice dragon tattoo or a red stripe down his middle? IDK
Everyone's Onis look GREAT! Here's my quick concept.
Warm up sketch. Thx for the topic. I'll try to start hanging out. I love the community activities but rarely get farther than the wips threads simply because of other responsibilities....
still messing. Added some lil skulls.
couple adjustments. Pushed some of the background terrain back a little added some more definition and texture to the foreground elements. Brightened up defined some of the glowing orb-ish...
o.k. fine maybe it needs to go a wee touch to the left? JK I totally get it and thank you.
haha. I agree that the piece is weak, however... I would think the glowing green orb in the foreground located directly in the golden mean in the middle of the sky constitutes a focus so... haha,...
Fun topic. Here's my little contribution.
Thanks! I was afraid of making it too "cheesy" with the effects but I actually think this adds to it. Thanks for the suggestion!
Tried making a separate item as a totem other than the head of the staff, but didn't like it and felt it was distracting from the character. By the definition of a totem given the head of the staff...

Thought I'd use this as an excuse to play a bit. Try not to be envious of my spaceship design.
Nothing real cutting edge here. Mostly just a traditional sarcophagus. Thought I'd share my sketch though.
Nice work, Flame! Simple and elegant.
Hope to get some time later to render these out before the deadline. I feel I have a pretty good jump on the first two, but the last one hasn't quite congealed for me yet. I have some fuzzy notions...
First sketch. Still don't have all the details of the backstory worked out. Thinking kind of a primitive yet technologically advanced alien society... John Carter esque?
Solar wind powered pleasure craft for the wealthy.
In the future the wealthy ruling class live on galactic cruise vessels. They tour systems taking in the sights and experiencing the different...
Zoomed out view.
Worked on my solar wind powered "Pleasure Grinder" for the wealthy concept some more last night and this morning. You know you're hooked on something when you start thinking up a story to go along...
