Does something need to be painted to be considered finished?
No, I didn't ink by hand. I used pencil and made adjustments in PS.
You really need to learn how to draw properly. All these characters seem flat, no sense of weight or form.
Thanks for the advice Mirana.
sword will be changed, more defined.
anatomy will be correct in final render, design will be more detailed.
no excuse, you'll see it drawn properly in the final render.
good design, great render.
I really like your design, very rpg.
"Honestly, making a crit on a character design, without making a crit on the actual drawing is impossible."
How is it impossible? I am not asking for technical aspect of design. The question is,...
sure I completley understand. Like I said before the purpose was to capture the look of the character so crit that.
I am new, so the first threads were kind of by accident. Yeah sure but remember this is a work in progress, the purpose was to capture the look of the character.
You have a good idea here, just make sure you work out all the anatomy and technical stuff in the final render.
Don't get defensive, I do take your suggestions into consideration.
I think this is in the wrong forum, BUT anways, the perspective on the weapon looks like its coming at the camera, not away like the rest of the picture is.
How is it when people critique on the...
I don't like the eyes too much, but the trident design is good, better than going with a traditional trident. Always be creative, take a look at the weapon my character is holding.
Yes the neck is a bit long but this is not a human character therfore exact human proportions are not critical.
"The placement of the legs bother me a little, especially the way near the hips."...
Ha, it does kind of look like zelda. I think its mostly the clothes though. Yeah the line work is a bit sketchy, but I like to keep loose. Sure greater variation in line is always used in the final...
yes it is more on the anime side. The weapon is conceptual, for a better understanding it should have been drawn from multiple angles. As for detail the intent was to keep a simplified look. I wanted...
sure, but what do you think about the overall design?
yes, this was the intent.
do you mean a more realistic face?
