Awsome stuff! You're working towards a very cool and distinctive style.
You're right about learning to draw/paint requiring patience and dedication, but the reward is being able to visually communicate your ideas clearly to others so the struggle is worth it :)
You're definitely heading in the right direction with this orc image and your latest piece is shaping up to be even better, very impressive work :)
As a first study this is really impressive. You definitely have the right attitude in terms of focusing on the fundamentals and the knowledge of 3D is going to be very helpful too.
