will post more tommorrow..
some more work on Church study
shitty imaginary enviro- maybe a WIP
some small composition studies from paintings..I think I spent too much time on details..
started a study of a Frederic Edwin Church painting called 'Tropical Scenery'.
sp from yesterday..still trying to regain focus
3.5-4 hr, fluorescent light
my sps tend to look like patchwork quilts though I think they've improved a bit
finally scanned some stuff. Mix of life (such as the trees) /imaginary/study drawings. My human figures still suck-still trying to really understand and remember anatomy as well as draw fluid poses....
been feeling slothy and tired recently..still drawing but with less than optimum productivity. I miss warm weather :(
imaginary landscape thing..i'd like to refine it..
My grandma brought back a weird vegetable today. She asked me if I could draw it..
hmmm..so many lovely greens..took maybe 4-5.5hr?
still too lazy to scan drawings lol.
movie still studies (star trek into darkness)- ~2.3, 3.7 hr.. maybe more- lost track of time
worked on this over several days.....
ohhh..it's been a while. I got distracted for some time but recently I've been practicing art for 4, sometimes 5 hours a day..working on increasing those hours. I'm on a gap year right now so I...
Awesome colors! Those beach paintings are lovely. And I think your character designs are pretty cool. I like the design and details of the desert guy from your last post but I think the dunes/sky...
lalala..inspired by Wojtek Fus...now I'm aiming to draw at least five hours per day. Focusing on two subjects per day with time limits so far seems to have worked better than my previous 'schedule'...
some stuff from last 2 weeks to today
landscape study. the details confused me. ref
life drawing..I slow down too much when I draw from life.....
argghhh still slacking off too much lol. At this point, achieving good work(not just drawing heh..) habits is my #1 goal.. And I've also put off scanning my drawings..I'll probably post a dump later...
faces from life
sleepz- I think you generally convey the gestures/poses well but you could use fewer lines to make things clearer.
Some poses I drew today (pencil)
30, 60 sec
Tried something different today. I found a interesting looking b&w photo (link) and did a study with my own colors. Hmm..the waterfall is crap. I'll probably refine this later.
It's been a while since I last posted..I'm not drawing as much as I've planned (4-6 hr everyday) but I'm still drawing overall.. So, here's some stuff from the last several days.
photo study with some additions. ref
some crap from imagination. went all out on texture brushes..
also from head
horseees using pics from pixelovely
Went off track for a while.. here's some recent stuff, from last weekish to today
photo study at first..too lazy to do reflections properly
finally studied back muscles..so now I've...
Murderotic Thanks! Yeah, I have an aversion to soft brushes but I really should experiment with different techniques..
Color study 2hr. Some of the colors around the right lower corner are...
I like the backgrounds of #31 and 33 because the atmospheric perspective adds depth. Your characters look cool(nice faces!) but I think you could increase the contrast of the characters. Some darker...
Those studies are looking good! I think you have a good sense of color. And I like your use of textures.
That chimera looks pretty awesome! I really like the pose and animal faces. I think though, it could benefit from increased contrast/values. This can make your image pop out more. For example, I...
Another day of no studies...just giving my imagination free reign..kinda tricky at first but once you're warmed up... I thought about the backgrounds of some of these characters and the worlds they...
Here's a WIP from imagination. Starting it was tricky...It took me a while to get a not too lame background. I didn't really think clearly about how I wanted this to look. And obviously, I need to...
Been drawing less..I think I sat in front of my computer way too long for those last digital studies. Still trying to find balance between drawing and other important things such as exercise and...
