Vector art done in illustrator for a school project
Shylock (Merchant of Venice) character design for an assignment in animation class.
Animals sketches that I'm not too happy with but I enjoyed the process
Female studies in pencils and sharpie.
It was interesting to see that I felt much more comfortable using the sharpie rather than the pencil at times.
I've been very busy with work and college so I haven't been very active on the internet. I've also been drawing a bit less lately, while spending more time in Maya working on 3D Modelling.
F. Church + Jasper F. Cropsey Colour study
Having trouble getting the colours right. Everything is oversaturated.
Character design practice
Hey Kerah - Thanks for the comments and for stopping by! :)
Quick 15 minute colour study.
Practising brush economy. Not necessarily less strokes but rather well placed ones. I'm using a brush with no opacity - only the flow pen pressure is on giving me really hard strokes.
Just for fun :)
Thank you jmob!
It's not so fun drawing something for fun and not really liking the result but I guess that's the way it is sometimes.
Thank you Freshfool.
I just finished a course called "The Craft of Illustration" conducted by Justin Gerard over at The Lamp Post Guild.
I highly recommend these courses for anyone who wants to...
Wow, it's been a while.
I really am terrible at painting skin... she looks like a statue :(
I had a lot of fun with this so I decided to post it. I really tried to push the painting to what I wanted using photographic reference as a base point. I didn't do anything too fantastic but I like...
Thanks Kerah. Happy holidays to you too :)
I know what you mean about the looking back but to be honest, I post stuff here to get critique and/or support of any kind. I see a lot of artists asking...
Thank you Kerah!
Been doing loads of stuff lately but I've decided to upload a lot less to CA as it's been bringing me a bit down. Here are a few sketches for the heck of posting :)
I love everything in this update so much! The water reflection is especially impressive.
65 second gesture drawing - much better :)
Looks awesome! What program do you animate with?
Force animal design studies and gestures both from life & photographs
I don't remember this being so hard. I just can't do those 30 second gestures. 60 is sometimes good but still quite difficult.
Lots of more foxes (drawn at work) with no reference, very quick, very rough; just trying to get some more stylised versions but to no avail. At least I see I've improved a bit.
Other then that some...
I love this SP :)
