Forgive me if a thread on this already exists. I was curious to know if there is any difference in using different paper medias as opposed to just using a regular sketchbook.
A random painting I did this morning.
Some stuff for today. Quick posemaniacs studies. Please crit.
Well well. I certainly has been a minute. I need to get back on this pony. My Wacom has been little more than a mouse pad lately and my sketchbook is collecting dust. I've been too busy with school...
Did you say you were 15? My goodness. Keep up the good work and you'll be smooth sailing in no time. Are you planning on attending art school? I certainly hope so. Great work, now let's see some more!
I agree with JeffX about the traditional drawing first. However, I think you can learn as you go along as well. Just don't forget about the fundamentals. My suggestion would be draw something with...
I definitely won't replace my Wacom, but this definitely allows for more workspace for me. I'm pretty convinced I'll enjoy it.
Thanks a lot for your input. It does help hearing it from a fellow artist instead of the nerdy tech guy at Office Depot trying to sell it to me. :p
Great work man. Haven't been on your SB in a while. You've progressed a lot. Try putting your SB in your signature too. Makes it easier for me to monitor. ;P
Loomis is in my opinion by far the best on the subject. He really breaks it down. Bridgeman is also good.
I think it really depends on your style of learning as well. Try sitting in a park, or at...
Wacom and the HP Touchsmart PC. Has anyone tried these two together? The Touchsmart can be seen here: http://www.hp.com/united-states/campaigns/touchsmart/.
I would like to know if this could be...
Great sketches! The one thing I love about Indian culture is the COLOR, so keep that in your work, it's great! I can so see these characters in a Dreamworks type setting. Keep up the good work!
If you watch the video on the link I provided, it shows how you can rotate the canvas, zoom in and out, and other cool features by using the touch mode.
It still works both ways. It recognizes organic and pen touch. It's just that smart. ;P
I don't know if this is already been "touched" upon (har har), but Wacom has a new product out. It's basically a new Bamboo with multi touch capability. It's definitely worth looking at, because they...
It's not that I don't love my share of robots and aliens, but next DSG can we have something besides aliens and sci-fi and the like? In order to grow creatively, shouldn't there be a variety of of...
WOW! Great texture on the egg. Very well done. And I also like the tree nymph idea with the gardener. Great job all around!
So for some reason, my paint bucket isn't working like I thought it would in Corel® Painter™ Essentials 4.0. Is it just me? Can someone explain how it should be used? I know it's a rather vague...
Wow, I just discovered your SB, GEEZ, where have I been? Primo stuff here! Please keep it up. Did you go to school for this or are you just natural talent?
great stuff here, keep it up! Where are you graduating from?
There are some truly epic pieces here. Wonderful work. How long does it typically take for you to do an "average" sketch? (Average for YOU maybe....)
You have an AMAZING way with color, my friend. Please keep it up. Your artwork is great.
What brush did you use for post #12? Great stuff here, I like it a lot.
These are like a mix of Loomis and Bridgeman, I like it.
I really like so much work in here. What tablet are you working off of? You seem to be doing fine. Please keep up the good quality work! Have you been learning from DVDs for experimentation?
