I have never actually ended up finishing anything for CHOW, which is sort of sad! So I shall try, even if I sort of designed a scene rather than a character.
The rest of the expressions + the first design for a smaller comic project that I need to get going before the end of the month.
One day I shall draw other things, but for now, women and children are most common on this life raft.
I'm currently working on a webcomic; preproduction only at this point.
I think my posing is still wonky, but I'm trying!
That's what I thought, but I didn't want to leave em out if they would be received in a non-judgemental way. What is in my portfolio is what I like to draw, and what I think is me, anyway.
@Atreides: I really really need to watch my gestures and poses-- I honestly need to sketch more these days and sketch models, even if I can only do it from the net atm due to there just not being...
So I'm working on my portfolio again and I have to make it great; I've been out of school for too long (three years in a month!) and while my freelance work is keeping me with a roof over my head for...
I'm going to learn how to actually paint (not just colour in the lines!) and I want to work on better compositions.
COME DREAM WITH ME TONIGHTTT.
Just sort of trying to finish these off first so that the lineup is done before going back and messing with values-- completely going to though!
I don't really understand what you mean by "unprofessional"? I don't really see how torquing her body so that her hips are directly in the front when her shoulders are on another perspective is a...
Clavis' lines-- will update Ebony after I finish him!
Saying that because you are referencing artists that DO break anatomical rules doesn't mean that you should.
All the artists that you listed, while stretching the norm for what you usually see for...
And the first one is done.
Is it just me or does this look like I know what I am doing.
I do not know what I...
Still need to shade the clothing but first one is almost done!
Lines are go!
I chose to do inking rather than try to paint them-- I do depend heavily on lining and since these are for a portfolio I'd rather...
Updated line-- I think that's it for people and stuff for the time being? Now I need to figure out how I want to finish this...
Another gallll-- I have several more characters, then I'll get on to working on some creatures (oh dear)
Sorry for the double post but woo there is now a man.
Edit: Two men and a chick!
I'm really liking the detailing so far, especially the bullets and the fragments that are going on. That being said, composition wise, the room in the middle of the screen really needs some...
Moved her knee down a bit to make up for her hip tilt, moved up the staff and shortened her arms a bit.
For laughs, here's the...
Trying to step out of my regular illustration storybook looking box, so I decided to fiddle around with RPG/FF/concept-y art stuff tonight.
I'm not used to natural proportions (woops enormous...
Great plan-- will definitely need to do some variety stuff as soon as I get the model pack part completed.
As to the noses, which ones are bothering you? and by bothering, do you mean because of...
Great point concerning the extremes-- will definitely need to work on those to make them look good, but totally up for the challenge!
Concerning the lifedrawing, all the stuff not...
And you're in luck! I actually saved a bit of the process lol.
Drew it by hand-- my scanner SUCKS BALLS...
