S Rose, you're a Star. Seriously.
Coincidentally, I found it JUST before reading your post. I was coming back to claim my tiny victory. Embarassingly, I ended up punching air since I've been...
Could someone please help me find the video where Bobby Chiu talks about getting work and uses the analogy of bait & fish?
A specific time stamp would also be helpful.
Didn't really make it for the deadline, but just did a concept for the claw today while practicing paints.
Hopefully joining in on the fun next episode.
Holy Crap, Daniel. Your painting's gotten g-g-g-good.
I think it looks really great when you use those quiet, wobbly, organic lines like in the last post in March 8th. Or perhaps there it was appropriate because it mimicked the folds of her clothes and...
Nice portraits. I really like the way you shape your faces.
Great variations in line weight! Your cartoons are energetic, more so than your gestural doodles. I see plenty of potential in the way your stylize things. The posts on May 8th are my favorite.
Nice persistence with the small figure drawings. Continue with that, its a fantastic habit to have. On a side note, I liked your monster. I'm quite a fan of speech bubbles in sketchbooks. Livens...
You do some nice things with colour. Work a little on anatomy but also, try to solidify your forms a little, otherwise they end up looking flat as with the latest painting. And continue to explore...
Really liked the contour drawing. You've got a nice eye for shape.
Thanks guys. A few more doodles here.
Your small gestural and figure studies are good. Well proportioned, perspective is good and there's a believable center of gravity. Your linework is pretty good too. Let's just see where this goes...
The figure studies have some nice weight to them. But watch your perspective! I like the colours on your "speedy" face sketch. I'd love to see more of that.
I'm quite envious of your painting skills. Apart from the studies, your designs skills are great too.
Holy cow! It's that guy from the Legend of Dragoon! I never finished that game. But I thought it was pretty revolutionary for the time and didn't get much credit. I like where you're going and I...
Quick doodles in pen.
Something more vibrant.
Some figure studies, backs and such.
Need to work harder.
Weird experiment... :S
This is the first page of the WIP. The idea behind this was to create a film noir type sequential; very moody and introspective. I wanted the storyline to be based around a flashback where the reader...
I was planning on doing a werewolf for the newborn C.O.W, but I remembered that humanoids aren't allowed. I'm wondering perhaps if I could make it more beastly. Either way I'm aware the design isn't...
I've got a WIP, but I don't think I'll have time to get it to a point where I'm really happy with it. I guess this was a good lesson in time management, or quality control? Both maybe.
