I've decided to take on a little challenge of my own. I've drawn multiple self portraits (These are my favorites,) And I've also started a series of characters who I'm attempting to keep in the same...
The exotic, fabulous Intergalactic Burlesque Queen. A rare species of creature, found only on the Amazonian-like tropical jungles of the Oozrpa star system. While usually fierce,...
Feeling super bad. I can't figure out colors this week. Think I might scrap most of what I have done and redo. Any ideas / comments?
Most of these are old pieces I've taken out and started to attempt to rework. Mostly just looking at them - seeing where I've improved and looking to improve them. One is also my Chow entry for this...

Wanted something to draw with my new cintiq 24HD. Here it is :D Probably won't finish..but I had fun.
School work mostly, the fruit is because i'm bored :P
You should draw a proportionate skeleton, and then lay the muscles over it. Right now, you're still struggling with proportion. I hope you can work on it :) Your work is awesome otherwise.
I felt it was pretty shitty of someone to downplay the fact that you got into a college that they could not afford.
More power to you, TD.
Keep working on your anatomy. It's not where you start,...
Hey Sandalwood, welcome to CA.org gratz on making a sketchbook! :)
I like your lines, they're really clean. However, you're focusing on what they look like - as in contours, not form. Such as,...
I like the first of the three B/W pieces, SunRoamer. :x
Keep up the studies. I always suggest checking out your local interwebs for some Bridgman and Loomis studies/books on anatomy if you want to go for the human form.
Also, there's tons of books on...
Here's an update, moving tomorrow. May or may not have time for more during the wait for the cable dude. :P
Lach-land: Massive amount of negative space >_>..composition wise, you could make it more interesting.
Here's my Orchid Bee.
While I enjoy your detail, I think you have lost the form of your person under it all.
I liked my first four too. :) Thinking of reverting back to one of those.
Mix of Cockroach, and spider, with some scarab mixed in.
Her 'hood' neck piece is made of spider legs and where it ties together to make the cloak in the front also has spider fangs.
So, I'm attempting to do this, even though I'm moving and probably won't finish XD
I went for a more mage-like costume. Battle mage :D
I think the WoW image is more based off of the new zones, and not bugs. It has in fact, more to do with the Viking like people of Fjord than it does with bugs. And even more to do with the woolly...
Back lighting. :)
Nice looking concepts so far. Did you guys look up Slavic clothing/dress at all, or just going off the top of your head?
