Amazing stuff here raven, though I'm not sure what your studding at
skewls looks like your an industrial designer, your robots and vehicles are real
neat. Any way your last WIP scared me off from making any crits cause its just
so dam good, maybe the right eye is a tad off but its friken amazing the colours
everything man. Keep it up!
tnx remmy, i'm actually studying Digital arts and entertainment.
Its a course to become a technical artist, so i get to do drawing, 3d and programming.
It isnt that easy to combine the artistic with the more technical but its doable so far :).
btw i'm far from having no crit works (is any work ever without a flaw?) :P
here are to very speedy doodles were i wanted to work with some cool colors
edit some more refined
Hey raven! you're getting alot better. i really like your last digital drawing of the monster. but i think you could add some (slijmerige :p ) highlights. A great tutorial about it is from over rendering flesh.
Keep it up man , you're improving alot!
ps: heb je nu eigenlijk msn?
Love the first one (b/w woman) but I would suggest to take some of your doodles to the next level :).
Anyway, no crits just keep going and improving :D.
its bin a while since ive looked into ur sketchbook
nice stuff uve made since
the woman at the top looks great, so do the grayscales
the last is a great doodle, the chin is nicely done
maybe you should go further with that one and define everything better
grtz and keep up the good work ;)
tnx for the comments guys
ain't doing much drawing now because im learning for school but when that over my primary focus will be doing more study on anatomy and light/color
Oy Raven Work more :p u should work more stuff like the first post on this page ;) u will amaze ppl alot then ;)
you know as well as i do that we both should be learning for math right now :P
I dont really feel like starting bigger paintings because they suck up my time that i should be using for learning.
well i took an half hour today to create this speedpaint
Verehin: Tnx for the unusual comment :D
Wip wip wip , i managed to take some time and draw *shocked*
so here is my first wip of laundrygirl, i plan to finish the paint with an environment and the 3d model/sculpt her (after my examinations :()
anyway comments would be very appreciated so dont hold back
and some COWsketches
and another movieshot speedpaint
First one who guesses what movie its from gets a free banana :p
My first practice with acryl paint, I never really did do any traditional painting and thought lets give it a go.
So i went out and bought myself 2 starterkits(atleast i think it are) 1 acryl and 1 oilpaint. I figure it wont be the best quality paint that i'm using since it was like 7 euro a kit which has 12 tubes of paint and 2 brushes.
So i started with the acryl since i read its the best one to start out with and i tried to paint something to see how the paint reacts.
anyway here it is, aint much but it's a start i guess :s
Good update - your work is getting better, I know these are quick but I think you should work on the mushy paint problem and clear lines, they will read better. I like this last girl she is starting to rock, her eyes are crooked - I like the eyes you did in some of the sketches, they are pop-eyes! cool style you are starting to form.
tnx kelly, yeah i should spend some more time on make my paints cleaner noted and ill work on it
apart from that im also doing anatomy studies now since my exams are finally done but i could resist doing this new doodleguy
High on duty :)
Nice digital painting, great monster stuff.
but where are the anatomy studies?
Keep up the hard work!
The result of a few days 3d modeling/sulpting an alot of rendering
Very nice SB you have here!
Those pastel gestures look really good!
tnx the ANGRY filipino
heres a valuestudy i did from ref
Hi ravenslayer, really nice quantity of work you got here. I love post #140 very much :D. (edit: one little crit maybe; his eyes look a little bit to "glassy". The highlights are very strong) The pastels are very well done too. How much time did you spend on these if I may ask?
The valuestudy is also cool but her right side a little bit rushed. No big deal really.
Anyway, no crits, just keep this nice sb up ;)!
tnx Lyno, The 3d guy isnt finished yet , im going to redo some stuff to get more out of my render but it is a great and fun exercise to learn things ^^
heres an attempt at coloring the valuestudy i did earlier from the mind
Wip of a sculpt im working on
gets me to study anatomy in 360 degrees ^^
The 3D models are kick ass. Cool stuff man.

tnx im trying my best to learn both 2d and 3d ^^
Update on the model , think im heading in the right direction now
it might be just me but the legs look a tad short on the latest model
dyeah it looks that way because the hands are so big
im still working on getting it better :)
Here are some rough value studies reffed from 3d models
This first one is a paint from from a sculpt a fellow student is working on
