I like epic drawings like this one is.
The good old Conan feeling. But in this case
it is a little Red Riding Hood with her humongous sword.
She likes to hold huge things in her soft small hands.
The wolf is a bit dazed and looks lost. He is not sure
what he should do with the little hot one. He is more
up for the food and the booze than the girl. It is a pity.
Powerful piece indeed, I enjoy watching your pencil drawings.
The girls upper body is a bit longer than it should be, compared
to the legs. Remember the crotch area is the middle point of
the human figure, so measure the proportions like that. But
that is just a not so important flaw. She better get some
longer coat, cause she easily can catch a cold. Or something viral.
My favorites are the creatures.
I really like that portrait study in post 778, it looks very good value and color wise. Also in the use of soft and hard edges. You should use what you learned there and apply it to your other paintings.
Keep up the good work!
Great stuff in here!!!! I noticed your/ref body building pics, it reminds me
of something Jim Lee said about drawing muscles "they are like rugby ball shapes.."
Seeing your stuff i would recommend maybe doing some landscape studies for fun.??
I noticed you did small trees here and there or mainly framing in a character or creature,
might be something to think about. Anyways have a good one.
Some new sketches
nice studies, I like anatomy that you mix it with your art to produce such amazing
work hard and keep it up
Happy New year!
I wish you all the best and for you to be happy all the time.
The latest sketches are looking great and inspiring. You always
have some neat concepts to share with the crowd. The female
with the double blades swords looks determined and she is in
for the kill. Great job. The last one is the best, if you ask
me, the guy on that animal, sitting, like in one of the
Frazetta's painting.Santa Rudolf? Actually I am saving this painting for
inspiration. You made us all proud once again with your
magical updates. Thanks for sharing and keep on working.
Big time slacker...
The moogle like knight of post 785 is really cute. I really like that last knight riding a reindeer (evil santa is that you? (x ) very nice rendering and pretty cool concept.
Your rendering is getting better, my only crit would be to work bit more on the shapes and proportions of your characters, specially the female ones, sometimes their torsos look really long.
Keep it up!
Awesome! I think I will vote 5 stars for this SB endlessly! (if only I could, I will send a complaint to the administrators so I can vote infinitely)!!!
Keep up the good work buddy! You will not see me around here for a long time (starting studies).
P.S. - You can drop me a line in the SB or the e-mail so we can keep correspondance.
I had not posted forever but I see the website underwent some updates and I think I like the new site.
Anyways, I had time to sketch tonight using Sergey Kolesov's brushes also known as "Peleng brushes" which you can find and download using google.
Some more stuff
Couple more sketchies
wow i think I missed a lot... I see you draw with shading pencil... I think you have developed a technique but to my mind you will do miracles with mechanical one... I am using 0.5mm with B leads - it is the best one for me to sketch characters.
Keep up the awesome work my friend!!!
Funny how I used to post so often here now more than half a year has passed. The website crashed and it's now back it seems. It's a bit sad but I guess life goes on, other websites have come up which are somewhat more refined and somehow make my art more accessible. This site has basically remained the same since I started posting here and while it was my biggest source of learning the feelings are bittersweet. Made some art friends here, hopefully we move on together through other places/websites/meetings and continue to improve. I seriously get more feedback about my art through my website and cghub these days so you guys can find me there. I might be visiting COW and etc here in the future but this sketchbook has lost it's original purpose. Good luck to the rest of you! Cheers!
