lovely stuff-the female faces remind me of phuzion's. esp. like the elvish-looking in the first one.

cthomp June 9th, 2005 04:26 PM

like the skateboarder pic. doing more quick drawings like that would help.

Nifelfang June 9th, 2005 04:53 PM

Keep posting! :)

Punchy June 10th, 2005 02:47 AM

wow dude, great stuff! i really love the pic of the guitar-playing chick, really love the way you did her hand on that one. turtle is really funny too; GAH! more posts; the force is strong with this one. ;)

steak-tron June 11th, 2005 08:33 PM

Hey nice pages dude. I think we have similar fashion tastes :P That last character with all of the straps and padding is a nice one. Are you working for Activision in town?

Keep posing :)

mentler June 11th, 2005 08:40 PM

Fantastic!!

Sweet Thread ~~ big new fan

Farvus June 11th, 2005 08:53 PM

What a fantastic sketchbook :D. I'm subscribing this thread....and keep posting new stuff.

Punchy June 12th, 2005 05:05 AM

Farvus : thanks dude. more on the way. I'm mixing in older stuff with new stuff so I should be able to keep this going for awhile.

mentler : cool deal. glad you like it.

steak-tron : thanks! I do get a strange kick out of drawing buckles. lol
I work for an activision owned studio, but when I get sucked into a meeting at the mothership they provide paper and pens. the fools!=)

purb36 : thanks! thats one of my more recent pages. I love drawing a lot of lines with a mechanical pencil. somehow relaxing=)

just noticed that in your last one the soldier squating down the hand on the right looks really wierd besides that its good stuff.

tokidokizenzen June 12th, 2005 01:20 PM

I like :) Pencil sketches are my fav's

Displaced June 12th, 2005 01:45 PM

kickass style !!! awesome !

clogik June 12th, 2005 05:55 PM

cool stuff in here. keep postin! :)

Sara-San June 12th, 2005 06:02 PM

Wow, just looked through your sketchbook and it's fantastic. I like your style with females. Did you use references on the faces, or is all out of your head?

Quinster June 12th, 2005 06:23 PM

WOw, very nice thread! I especially like the way you draw faces. The women are very femmine looking, and often very sexually oritented :perv:

Punchy June 13th, 2005 03:55 PM

Quinster: thanks dude. I do enjoy drawing the ladies=)

Sara-San : Thanks! a lot of the poses are from reference but the faces are out of my head. I can't capture a likeness to save my life.

clogik : will do.

Displaced : Thanks!

tokidokizenzen : I've always enjoyed seeing sketches over finished pieces myself.

cthomp : yeah, I suck with hands. I used to just draw people with all there hands in there pockets=)

Heres a couple more for the day.

Nice stuff, I have no real crits to offer i'm sorry. Some anatomy mistakes in the studies but that's what they are for :)

Icey June 14th, 2005 04:38 AM

very good sketches!!
they sell dinamism even on the static figures - i really apreciate that! :)

Punchy June 14th, 2005 03:07 PM

Icey : thanks.

Jens : hehe, yeah, got to get the bad sketches out of my system=)

Carnifex June 14th, 2005 05:06 PM

that last one is top-notch. very realistic, despite few details. though i think it's humanly impossible to turn your head that far when facing us.
