a spaceship doodle
Look like I initially started it in b/w , but nope - I colored directly and still looks like it has an uninspired colour pallett. Also tried to stand while drawing - like derp
Did my first life-drawing this week, dident time it though. Im sort of going through some kind of art-drepression :O.
Im fine though , well my job sucks.
Have nice day !
Hi dudes - some casual hand studies. re-watching some of Riven Phoenix videos.
Been trying going from greyscale to color --- durr
gonna have to work on that - Although, quick 1 mins test.
2 pics a day , 30 mins each. 2 from imagination :)
lame rocks and heli. 1 week. Still doing some anatomy stuff in my sketchbook.
keep em coming!!!
& thanks for the kind words in my skb,
Thanks for the support! Loving those still life and anatomy studies!
Newgrounds Re-animator chow - I would be damned if there wasent a necromancer.
cA own daily sketchgroup
A giant vs a imp, which I basically took as an goblin. Nerdrage as much as you need to.
For learning environments one thing that helped me was really learning perspective. Find some pictures to study from that feature architecture and try to find where the vanishing points and the horizon line are (you can do this with artists you like too). And try building some scenes in perspective from imagination, even if its just boxes. Its incredibly tedious and boring but really educational.
Keep doing the 30min dailies though! In my opinion you're using a bit too much black in them.
Starting up some armor studies , due to 40 mins armor breakdown :O
so did this
Happy with it , but will do more.
Saw a site with awesome anatomy " constructive anatomy ", I just like who much the shapes they use to describe form - going to use them in my personal anatomy gestures.
Noses and eyes needs alot of improvments
As skMOP adressed. I need some foundation perspective training.
doing alot of pictures that I overlay with perspective grids , also created
a "playground" in photoshop.
you got some neat stuff going on their man
i particularly like you sketches and little silhouettes
keep on rollin dewd! :yayca:
@ CR Faerber thanks man , I'll keep going - thanks for the support !
I can do better :) , well - after I've done this anyways haha
* need todo some darker , darks.
nice figure studies man, spot on.
I like your environments too. but, on your first snowy mountainous environment, I think you could give it more atmosphere by whiting it out a little and adding some snow, especially for the biggest one at the back. would make it look further away and more epic :)
take my words with a pinch of salt though, im yet to tackle environments haha :P
didnt realise you had a second page, renders my comments kinda null xD
@CR Faerber - No problem man, lead the people to page 2 :D
Sweet cA is up !
celebratory phone render
EDIT: forgot to upload this ipod render aswell
I've been slacking off.
wow i love where your going with your work, your showing signs of improvement in just two pages.
You have a good understanding of form, light and some great ideas to back you up, i cant wait to see where you go in the future :)
i will keep and eye on you :D
Slick sb mate! Totally love your armor studies- it's also crazy how you have progressed in just 2 pages! Inspiring stuff, I should do more varied stuff like you.
Thanks man ,
Yeah , those armor studies rely quite alot on enviroments since they are so shiny. I might do some armors again.
Thanks aswell :)
Some more snowy mountains. Going to change enviroment eventually - just not yet.
Good good good my friend. Very good.
The environments, very quality work,
And take a look at these!!!
You are fantastic,
we are looking for more.
Wow thanks man ! my ego is burning :)
Now , what would a sketchbook be without sketches ?
Watch FDZ video along with this , the design is kinda familiar.
a lot of excellent studies in here!!! really liking a lot of the environment stuff you are doing! keep it up!
@Kevin Thanks man !
really missing painting skin. here are some colormixing. trying to make a skinpalett - no colorpicking, jus referance. Some of the skins ended up quite dull as I dident surround the shadowshapes terminator with a deep red.
Strange how you realise that when your done.
my legs were kinda wonky so went to http://analyticalfiguresp08.blogspot.se/
2 hour skin color mixing - pretty much.
getting back to value

the first one made me really nervous, its totally unaccaptable. So later I drew the biker - which im happy about as a concept piece.
morning soggyness, continued on a south-america bodyguard concept
ps - portrait day, I might be able to enter after work.
Urgh It pains me when I can't do anything but just give ass pats! but I'm just truly digging your work ethics man! it really resonates with me! I've had a bunch of things to do in my head study wise and methods and you are doing them, especially with the landscape stuff. Keep it up! :)
did you ever finish this pic by the way?
@ luthertaylor , just keep at it :)
ah the bear-chick-samurai-forest-keeper , nope. Who knows though.
Here is another character concept, A urban mage
trying to get more darks in there. The soldier seem'd very flat even if it took far longer then this one.
some characters , and a speedy enviroment
