my meager sketchbook
well, i've been a member for about a year or so now, so i guess now is as good a time to start a sketchbook.
my goal here is to to just improve my skills- i'd love to get into the sequential art/illustrative business and this community has been very inspiring to me, so i trust you all will be able to help me out with that. :)
i know that my human anatomy needs serious work- it's very difficult when opportunities to sketch willing live models are VERY few and far between where i live, so i can only depend on online resources. hopefully if i'm able to get accepted to one of the colleges i've applied to, i'll be in an area where such a request won't be so odd.
with that in mind, here's some of the things i've done so far. will upload more as i work on them.
There are some real issues with the first girls face, particularly the eyes and the shape of her head. Look at someone with their face in profile to see what I mean.
I like the third pic.
thank you psychotime :) i think i see what you mean about the eyes in particular in the first one. i'll go back over it and see what comes up.
Using bigger brushes will get you smoother and less distracting rendering. Keep it up.
wow i really slunked on this. thank you craz for your suggestion :)
i'm gonna update this as soon as i shrink down some files
