Drawing is something I really enjoy during my spare time, besides my non-art related studies and work. Be honest and take no prisoners when you critique, I'd really like to become better.
All kinds of feedbacks or just plain comments are appreciated of course.
Lately I've mostly tried to figure out how anatomy and clothing works, so there's some reffed stuff:
Some more nakid people
sketches of myself
and an unfinished still live... all these reflections were sort of difficult (and the water started to stink) so I kinda gave up
Your figurework is so clean! really impressive. I love the water bottle too.. those aren't very easy to do, that's for sure! I would have liked to see it more in a setting though, even a blurry background colour may have been more effective than just leaving it white.
Sweet studies mate. The one on the top left is nice and clean. Keep it up, and thanks for stopping by my book! ;)
that one girls butt is like cickapow! cool diggz cant wait for some more
The studies are very.. visual (not the right word, I know). It's like you were learning the models' anatomy by tracing the curves on their bodies, exaggerating them. They almost look like contour drawings. I like it.
Good studies, keep at it:)
Kina - Thanks for the advice, I'll think of it next time.
NothingbutZack - Thanks for visiting mate!
Grandmassa Mr. Spect - Girls butt eh? Glad to see we have some common interests ;)
Psypomp - Well those aren't blind contour drawings, but thanks for the input, I should try some.
Glory666 - I will :pirate:
Still need more practice with digital painting
thanks 4 stoping on me, yr study work is cool....keep it up..
bharat - cheers mate
still struggling with digital painting... seems to be sooo much more difficult than drawing. Any advice appreciated
bunch of bears
You have some nice, stylized stuff, Keeviin. I have no criticisms, however.
An update! Say it ain't so...
FightingSeraph - You're still welcome here anytime - but next time you bring some rum :pirate:
Dance monkey, dance!
Experimenting with mixed media (watercolor/ps)... and painting without using a single cell of ma brain.
thank you for taking a look at my sketchbook. For me hands are easiest things to draw.i have huge problems with the face. But this weekend iŽm going to draw as many faces as possible!hope i canhandle it after that!
keep your sketches cominŽ!
good sketchbook so far. I like the colored parrot best. The dancers are nice as well.
I like your stuff mate, dance monkeys need the love. Parrot needs to learn how to dance as well.
HeerleerzeichenS - Ahoi mate
engelhardt - and I was considering not even uploading the bird. shows what I know
strings - Dancing... parrots...yes... (why, why do I always get the insane ones?)
Painting a brush before bed
Also, for shits and giggles, sketches done during boring classes (sorry about bad quality and notes)
Nice digital work, i kinda like your style. Ur pieces are colorful and tasteful, nice work
DaStreets - Thanks for the feedback!
First environment! (needs more exercise obviously, advice welcome)
First time graphite! (first timers are sweet)
aaaaand the tallest land-living animal (watercolor/ps)
Thanks for visiting my sketchbook mate!
I think youŽre on a good way and your sb is filled with some really good stuff (movement studies, still lives, things like this will get you far, so continue doing them. Ehm... i should too).
I found only one real problem and that is the faces. Try doing autoportrait and a few other portraits (preferably from life if there is somebody kind enough to pose for you, but photos will do). Oh and watch out for those proportions.
Well, good luck, IŽll be back in a week to check you out.
thanks for tye comment. i would suggest keeping an eye on your proportions. your paintings are fuckin awesome.
Mr. Smile - Input and sort of an ultimatum - so mucho appreciated smiling mister! Production was reset to produce faces.
the_original_sean - Thank you for the feedback, original of Seans!
Hazart - And they love you too ;)
Strings' storyboards gave me the idea to do sketches from movies. Good fun! (Reference: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas)
Friggin photoshop. Must...remember...to...use...layers...
Specialized tools allowed humans to create culture, a second nature inside nature. eFFin devil's tools I say, darn difficult to draw.
self portrait... so yes I've got red cheeks
aaaand some doodles
Your paintings are quite nice.
You really need to work on your anatomy and faces, check out some drawing and anatomy books and do lots of studies. I see a lot of potential in your linework and your digital paintings so keep it up!
Keep on practising dude^^
Hey man I loved those boards that you did, great intro and exit strategy too. It would be funny if the car started talking, err, another weird comment there from me :P Keep up the work, ahem, (same here)
Oh, I'd recommend picking up some comic books too. Well, I suck at framing and the comic books have that locked :P I get a deal for 5(random) comic books going for only a buck(+tax).
// Fear and Loathing in LA.. that's it .. haha.
Hey there! I really like your figure studies, they are so clean! Keep doing those, they will help you a lot, also drawing from life will help you even more.
I really enjoyed looking at your experimental work with the parrot, it looks great! I'm not just saying it because im a sucker for bright colours either :P I like how you have used textures on PS to recreate the texture of the feathers.
Also, just keep practicing with the digital work as well, you will get better with practice and time :) good luck!
Finally! Exams are over, time to draw again. Crap, gotta relearn everything.
DeeLock - Thanks, I will, no I am!
Mischeviouslittleelf - Keep on walking you little mischevious elf :pirate:
Strings - Wrong movie, you watched too much Knightrider! ;) 5 for 1 buck? I wonder what kind of bazaar this is...
Spirit - Thanks a lot for a detailed feedback!
Al Pacino in Scarface ("I'm a political prisoner!Srsly!")
Another take on anatomy, but with Bridgman ("the human machine" - very fitting)
effing lazyness. Experimenting with painterX and selfmade textures.
