Hello, CA! I've never posted in the WIP forum before, but it's a while since I've worked on a complete digital illustration like this one, so it seemed a good opportunity. Crit and suggestions are extremely welcome.
It's inspired by the Greek myth of Echo, who faded away alone in a cave after being rejected by Narcissus. I'm concentrating on the backdrop just now. A sketch of the figure is included to show where I'm headed, though she's still "thinking-in-progress".
Thank you for looking!
Nice idea. Looks pretty good so far!:teeth:
I like the colors you are using.
Keep atmospheric perspective in mind. The white light in the background is very bright and coming forward. It should be diminished since it is so far from the viewer. Establish what elements are in the foreground, middle ground and background and make sure the colors and value contrasts reflect that separation. It will help give the cave space a sense of depth.
Rock on! :teeth:
Love the piece so far, The thing that needs to be worked on is the depth within the piece. To fix this you could add more crisp edges and value on the forms that are the closes to the viewer. Because right now the middle ground has just as much definition as the foreground. and I also agree about what was said in the previous comment about the light in the background.
I hope this helps!!!
