I want to create a painting for my daughter, one that has great personal meaning for her. So I painted her portrait and transposed it onto this rough sketch. I would greatly appreicate some imput on this project. I'm looking for original style tips to improve the overall image. Your ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
As far as her head being on the phoenix if you plan to leave it that way her dark hair is much to "out of mood" so i would suggest trying to darken up the body itself. I might even go as far as using black, although i would suggest a burgundy slightly darker than the background itself. This would help to define the features of the body as well as keep it from clashing with the portrait "] Also i would try to find a way to fit the skin color into the body too as well as maybe a darker shade in the background.
Thank you New School. I appreciate your comments and if I choose this as my concept idea I will incorporate them into the piece.
I keep looking at this "idea" and I can't help wonder if its a bit too cheezy. I've googled 'pheonix' and came up with some fantastic images but they either focus on the animal or a woman, not both.
I'd love to get some concept ideas to maybe bring this idea to life. Anyone got any ideas!? :)
Okay, I worked a bit more on this idea. C&Cs welcome.
