Cool to see your hands here as well Brashen :)
I like the contrast & values in your WIP set, nice work
Aussiedeza: Thanks man thats great to hear ^^
Frejasphere: Hey there fellow cgsocieter!! Thanks for the compliment!!
This ones from "Jeune fille allant a la fontaine" added some texture to liven it up abit. Oh and any of you guys know how to add an avatar to my thread? Thanks!!
argh, fuck I should be learning for my A-levels exams right now but YOU made me join the workshop. Thanks a lot, mister! :D
Great work on the hands btw, keep going!
Another one before bed I don't like baby hands they 're too pudgy!! but in the name of art I had to paint it. I don't like how this came out but I'm tired so I'm forgiving myself for this. Number 9 from "Jeune fille se defendant contre lamour"
Gloominati: Muwahahahahaha!! and thanks!!
great sketchbook, the hand studies are really awsome, i should do some hand studies (god knows i need it)
Really really nice work. re all these pieces part of a study series already set up or have you chosen them randomly. Can't wait for the full body stuffz.
Hey dude, great stuff. I'm really diggin the last couple posts with the hand studies, they have a great natural feel to them. I like the subtler, softer ones too, it seems like it would be harder to make those feel right than hands with a lot more edges adn contrast.
I like that index finger :)
themissinglink: Thanks man and I'm glad I inspired you to practice more!!
silvestri99: Thanks mate and yes they're all part of a workshop over at Cgsoceity.
jigokun: Thank you and yeah its a bit more difficult but you get used to it and becomes instinctive.
Hive_minD: Hehe thanks for stopping by again!!
I'm really diggin' those hand studies. great use of colour.
last one is outstanding. I can almost feel the paint through the monitor. It's always stunning for me how dudes like you can achieve this traditional look using digital media!
Gloominati: Hehe Thank you!! Practice and a good set of brushes can a long way!!
Number 10 and the last one for this workshop. This ones from "The Flagellation of Christ"
Great updates :)
Thanks too for comments in my sb *bows*
You're definitely on a Hands roll! only a few more days to go...
Last one (the mystery 3-fingered hand) - looking good, I like the textures
and the 'painterly' feel you are creating.
cheers and take care
Iron man doodle!! No I wont explain myself If you haven't watched the movie.
Sorry I had to!!
Wow, the Iron Man pic is awesome!
I reworked the doodle...Who reworks doodles??? I do!! Anyways here it is I tightened it up a bit cleaned up the suit cause it looked like balls here it is
Frejasphere: Haha its not three fingred theres one hidden behind the thumb!!
Ulver thanks man!!
Im still amazed.
:mittenbop: :mittenbop: :mittenbop: Sketchbook:mittenbop: :mittenbop: :mittenbop:
yeah man - you rock!
really liking this SB so far, especially the Tony Stark piece, the reworking made it even better. After seeing that movie it totally inspired me to go do some Iron Man artwork aswell
looks much you like Joaquín Sorolla
Good work...Like the rework you did of Tony Stark.
Whoa, you're like a master of skin tones. Any real trick to it? Probably nothing other than practice (damn cheap way eludes me again, or maybe it's a law of the universe ;))
Practicing environments...a speedy of a shelled WW2 village in france with a bit of matte painting as well 1 hr.
GlassJaw: thanks and yeah the movie is a real inspiration starter!!
Gustavo desimone: I don't really know who that is but thanks for pointing it out his works are really great!!
phix: Well practise is a huge part of it practicing from life really helps!!
Hey Brashen :)
Nice updates - like the ironman (and why not rework doodles ;) )
about the 3-fingers.. I know :dur: , it got labelled the mystery hand after
another cg-guy did a version and had been staring at it looking for the 4th finger
trying to work it out ;) Obscurity can add dynamics :)
First one was for a free online RPG that a friend of mine was working on but never got to finish and the second one is because drawing cartoons I find really loosens up the senses and helps to bring you back to reality dont ask me why!!
i love how you get that old look affect
Pretty awesome hands! Chubby, bony, relaxed, tense - You've got the whole catalog down. I wonder what you'd do with feet...?
