Hey dude! I almost completely missed this message. I happened to check my usercp link, and it was up here, haha.
I could have gone years without checking that again. Things are good here. In Austin, there is plenty of creative opportunities across all boards I think. Film, Music, Art, Games, are all big players, with big communities for each.
Mondo tees does some incredible custom posters for their Alamo Drafthouse movie theater shows. They do all sorts of older cult films, and nice one time events. This was a really good set they did about a year from now, and these days you'd have to pay an arm and a leg for a copy...
Good to hear from you, gotta get back to work! Good luck starting fresh somewhere, and if you are in Austin in the future, look me up!
Been ages. How things out in Austin these days?
As for myself, I think CT is telling me I am really not wanted around here anymore. Considering my lease goes up in September, I may finally listen and abandon ship. I have little holding me back here other than a few friends. What I can't quite decide is, if I am to up and rebuild, where to start rebuilding? I considered just setting up a map of the of the continental US, closing my eyes and tossing a dart. But before I resort to totally residing myself to random chance, realistically how are the opportunities out your way? I'm not likely to land a gig in video games, but what about things like graphics and printing? Hell, just real, sustaining work will do. (not like my last 4 jobs here had anything to do with art/creativity anyways.
Anyways, hope all is well.
Oh yeah. Checked out the blog. The stills from Donkey Kong look great!
