John! I found you Im still getting used to conceptart.org Just sending you a message to say hi, and I hope you are having a good weekend, see you on tuesday.
I intend to enter the entertainment industry as a concept/Pre-Production artist. I have chosen FZD and TAD as my options. While reading the FZD thread i came across your reply and agree with the fact that most of the work produced is similar to Feng's style. Plus they are so heavily concentrated on Vehicles, Products i hardly see any characters. The only issue is that TAD offers its classes Online. I was looking forward for something like a physical one-on-one class. But i found out that the school cannot help international students come to the PODs since it is not accredited. But anyways the TAD program seems really promising. The question is will the online course help me get where i intend to go. That is break through the entertainment industry. What are the job offering that the school provides. Are there any industry job internships that are offered if the student is at a good level. If yes, could i know the process since i am an Indian student.
Just sent you a friend request. I was an online attendee of the full of Discovery course back at the February 2010. Last weekend I attended the illustration showcase in Altoona PA and came to be reminded of the quality of instruction that you and the others folks from The Illustration Academy brought to those sessions. The landscape thumbnails of your Dad, George Pratt's watercolor demo, Brent Watkinson's primer on shooting models, Terry's exhaustive retrospect on American Illustration and the collective info on conceptual portraiture were all well presented and supported. It is rare when people are both great artists and great teachers - Bravo! Just wanted to say thanks and try and keep a connection with you guys current. Working within a poor man's budget I may try some more TAD classes but really have a preference for face to face instruction - so would like to know about those type of learning experiences as they come up.
Kind regards, Jonathan Gilpin (Lexington KY)

Hey John, love the Discovery classes that are going on...still trying to catch up on some notes. Can't wait for next weeks classes.
I was wonder though, is there a TADPOD in Richmond, Virginia that I can go tour or something, so I know where it is in Richmond, Virginia? Because I don't want to pay until I am able to see it, is that possible?

The class today was awesome, great stuff!
