May I dare ask you questions of game design? :o
I read the thread on side scrollers and wondered how they layered it all. How did the editor work. I use unreal 3 right now and some reason cant comprehend how they made 2d side scrollers like streets of rage... I know they make tiles and all that, what about the objects. lets say its streets of rage and theres a pipe there, is that pipe just a 64 by 64 jpeg with an alpha map on it? What about the background and I guess foreground, where the player walks, is that just images following each other? Hopefully this doesn't sound to ignorant. www.dwbailey.com
