About Jaxeller
I have been doing artwork since I was 3 years old, but didnít make it a serious career choice until I was 15. During my middle school years I wanted to become an architect because I loved drawing floor plans, but when I entered high school I changed my focus to video games. There wasnít enough room for imagination as an architect. Video games became my new focus because I enjoyed drawing video game characters. Every month I would get a new gaming magazine and looked for new characters to try to draw. I didnít have the internet and I couldnít afford drawing books so I practiced duplicating what I saw in the magazines.

By my senior year of high school I was fully dedicated to getting into the gaming industry. That year I had to complete a senior project; with no industry experience and no formal artistic training, just a copy of Multimedia Fusion and a book titled Game Design for Teens I set out to create my first video game from concept to finished product. My game titled Nutzy McGrey: Blood Prophecy released with 3 levels and 3 boss fights. All of the artwork was done in MS paint and the game was built in Multimedia Fusion. The artwork is crude and the animation would make an animator cry, but it blew away the judges at the senior project presentations. Those that played the game though loved it regardless of the artwork because they said it was still challenging and fun.

After high school I went to The Art Institute of California Orange County to pursue my education as a game artist and graduated with honors. I now have a Bachelors of Science degree in Video Game Art and Design.

Even though I graduated as a 3D Prop Artist my true passion is digital painting concepts and illustrations. My attitude when it comes to drawing and painting is this: If I put my mind to it I can draw and paint anythingÖperiod. This naturally requires a lot of practice so I am constantly painting and sketching. I canít imagine my life without art, without the ability to create. I look forward to working as a freelance artist creating fantastic concepts and awe inspiring illustrations.
