I am a concept artist and illustrator specializing in characters and environments
I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Art Institute Game from their Game Art and Design division. I am very familiar with 3D programs, and what they require from a 2D artist, I am comfortable adopting many different illustration styles, from cute cartoon styles to a realistic fantasy style.
I have a solid understanding of anatomy, form, composition, perspective, and color. As well as extensive experience with traditional and digital media, and a history of coming up with innovative strategies that produce quality work at a faster pace.
I have worked with Intel and BENT Image Labs, doing storyboards and other 2D work, and since 2012 I have been an illustrator for RR Donnelley on their Target Account.
Our team at RR Donnelley was given an Award of Excellence for our work on Target's weekly advertisements. This required working in a fast-paced environment, providing sketches of many different ideas on short notice for a team of more than 20 people, including art directors, layout artists, and photo editors.
In addition to creating sketches, thumbnails and refined finished art pieces,
I developed style guides and systems for better communication between the illustration team, art directors, and new hires, I was also coordinated the team during times when the art manager was unavailable.
