Hello all, my name is mark and I attend the watts atelier of the arts over yonder in encinitas. I've been a student there for four some odd years and have only recently began to teach. Ron, as i'm sure alot of people out there know, told me about this site and I really loved the work that was being displayed. So i thought i'd get on here and put some of my stuff up.

Yes cityworker this is me, err... Mark Hill. I'm gonna try and get some work up as soon as I figure out this forum stuff and how it works and what not. I'm a computer idiot, so it might take a little time. I'm gonna have ron help me out.

Don't worry Mark you will do fine, welcome. I think all of us will benefit from you're posts. Post that master work you did in oil, that was amazing.

I'm sorry, this is Chris. I was in your LOTR illustration class. I'm going back in the fall, just taking some time off for the new baby. All you guys are posting. Ron is posting like crazy. Eric posted some stuff, and now you. That's great to see. We gotta get Jeff to post in here.

You could actually post that oil you did from the Watts school from its website since Jeff is hosting your image. All you have to do is right click on that picture, go to properties, copy that link location and then hit the IMG button, paste the link, hit the IMG button again and Viola! it should show up. But then again, its totally your call if you want to do that. I'll see you around

tiny..

good to see you here...

to post an image first you need to upload it from your computer to a web server...

If you dont own a FTP program or have one installed and you are running Windows XP or Windows 2000, you can just open up a Internet Explorer Window, and normally where you type:

http://blah.blah.com

Just type in the Host name like this

ftp://something.com

Then you will be prompted to put in a login and password.

Then you will be able to naviage, the webserver, and add a folder to place your work in.

You will problably have to get that information from Ron, but

then once you do that, you then open up Internet Explorer, and then you will go to the website http://www.something.com/your folders name

you will then select a picture from that folder,

Come back to Conceptart.org make a post, click on the little button that says "IMG" and type in or copy paste the link of that image in the prompted screen, and press ok. :)

WOW that seems extremely complicated. Good luck,

Im sure Ron will get you going.. cant wait to see what you have in store for us.

peace

-mike

Thanks alot deth jester, i appreciate that. Yeah, thats my study of a william meritt chase. I need to post a better image of it cause the one on the atelier site produced really bad. thanks for doing that though. I think it's a decent study, but i don't particullary care for it that much anymore. I'm gonna go over your post and hopefully i can get more stuff up soon. thanks
