I respect the people here, and would really like your take on this:
My husband and I work in the video game industry at the same house. I am a lead concept artist, he is a world builder, and we make a pretty good team. Unfortunatly, he is not satisfied here and wants to move to other employment options. We have to market ourselves together because of conflict of intrest problems. I really want him to be happy and persue his career, but anywhere we go, I would have to make my work become secondary, most likely giving up concept and be a full time texture painter. I love what I do... I guess I could suppliment with freelance. We have a temp portfolio site up: http://critchfieldart.com/

I feel your pain. :-) My husband and I work together at a game company. We havenít had to relocate yet, but itíll happen someday. The double-resume thing may work out for you. Here are some other possible options:
Move somewhere like Seattle that has multiple companies, and get jobs at two different companies. I have known at least one other games industry couple that has done this. You would probably have to sign NDAs at each othersí companies, and you would probably have to refrain from sharing certain details about what you are working on.
Send out your resume, and see if you canít get work as a concept artist; then, if you land a job, have your husband apply at the same place. One advantage to being married to someone in the industry is that the people who hire you may assume that your spouse has similar experience and skill level. Therefore if they see you as a strong candidate, then they may also expect your spouse to be a strong candidate.
Also, with this strategy, it allows you to go after a particularly niche job, and your spouse can possibly wait around until his more generalized job becomes available at the company. Or do the same waiting while you apply for a job at whatever company hires your husband. Since you will be local and youíll have your husband inside telling them all about you, that will raise your chances of getting hired if a position becomes available.
BTW, please put plain screenshots of those level designs on your website! Many of us level builders do not have Maya, even at a company that uses Maya.
Interested in Massachusetts? I believe we have a lot of open positions right now at Turbine (www.turbine.com). . .

I hope to meet you and your husband sometime! Good luck with the job-hunt.
It occurs to me (rather belatedly) to point out that working at separate companies is not necessarily a conflict of interest. For example, we make fantasy MMORPGs, and right down the street is the company Harmonix, makers of Guitar Hero and other music games. Two games couldnít be more different. :-)
