I must agree with Metaphysiks: I find it interesting that one should warn about nudity while violence or murder it apparently totally acceptable. This, if anything, reflects upon our modern "enlightened" society.

As for the picture, I like the colors, but you should know that anatomically her breasts would never hold themselves like that.

also, while everything else is hanging "straight" down, her hair is not, which throws me a little, but I still really like it. I DO think the whole violence/nudity thing is strange. I think we should warn about blood and gore, not nudity ;p

Well, despite, I really like the idea. I don't think that the blood would show so light in the deep shadow area, but instead would become "lost' into it's darkness. The shadows, from the faucet and tub are out of perspective.

I like the textures, and angle too.

Woaw ! it's gory... I like it a lot but I have a problem with the blood. It looks more like Ketchup or syrup than blood. To me the blood stains don't have to cover the whole body but has to drip in a more fluid way. Don't know if I make myself clear.

anyway, it's the only crit I have to say ;)

thanks for the comments about the blood, it was actually mean at coloured it , and it was the first time I've tried colouring blood, I see what you mean about the syrupy look,
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a tutorial on colouring blood or any liquids for that matter?

The only thing that bothers me is that even though you made the image dynamic with a tilted camera angle your point of view is aligned straight with the wall and every line follows along, wich makes it a flat pic.

That's sick. Wait until you see a picture of a real dead woman like that. Then it won't be a cool picture subject. It is grotesque.

I saw one by accident and I cannot remove the image from my mind 6 years later. Makes me naseous and looking for a place to hide. You can't hide from your memory.

thats awesome, i love mathew barney and i love dead beautiful women. nice clean drawing, but the blood isn't shiny enough, it has the same highlights as the rim of the bathtub

as Jack Nicholson pointed out many years ago: "If you show someone kissing a woman's breast you get an X rating, if you cut it off it's just an R"; old news in a god-fearing society

I like the composition and colors of the piece, and I think you manage to convey gore and horror without being cheesy or too heavy handed; the breasts are a little skyward, but they could always be implants . . .

hey man i just takes so real blood of mine and smear it on the paper.. but if ur not inmto that.. i just think u might get like a cup of pigs blood or somethin and look at is and study it for awhile i dunno.. :D good colors tho

I'm curious to the context of this drawing......is there a story to it?....that's lot of blood!....just one suggest....the perspective of the tub seems to be tipped towards the audience.......looks like the blood/water will spill on us.

u know hybrid.. this really reminds of the movie .. Thirteen Ghosts... if u ever saw that movie .. remember the sliced up girl ghost and she was in the tub full of blood .. this really reminds me of that... after i saw the movie last night for the second time :D
