Hey there, I'm Alex and I'm from Romania. The reason why I joined this forum is that I want to meet people with the same hobbies as me and and get to know almost everything (if possible) about the industry. Now, I'm gonna be studying Computer Game Design and Graphics in September this fall.

And I would like to take a few courses for Concept and Comic Art. Now, I know there are lots of schools in the US but I just the necessary funds to go and study there. Anyhow, any advice would be more than welcome.

Take a look at our web site: www.maxthemutt.com. We are located in Toronto, Canada, our tuition is affordable, and we have diploma programs in Illustration for Sequential Arts: Comic Books and Graphic Novels, and are about to offer a new 4 year program in Concept Art for Animation and Video Games. To be a concept artist you will need traditional painting and drawing skills, as well as courses specific to concept art and illustration, and then computer skills. Watch out for programs that are all computer based !

Maxine,

The "Rubber Swami" is a scream! The extensive figurative drawing emphasis is great.

Thanks , Sharon. Daniel Tynan cared and worked very hard. He's been employed since the week after he graduated.
