Very cool and interesting. I like the looseness of your lines. That style works quite well with the basic colouring too. Looking forward to seeing more of this!

Fuckin' ay Protta. I like it a lot. Especially your portraits. You capture a lot with very little, I go for that very much. I shall look forward to more posts. I'll follow your stuff.

All the best
James.

Sir I believe you enjoy the line. Awesome awesome lines especially for the hands. I visited the blog and at first was stunned with the xxx artwork but eventually I grew to appreciate what you're doing. As a crit I would like to see a little more form to the eyes even though I know they are stylized. Keep up the work!

Good line quality, pretty nice portraits. You should do some more anatomy and perspective studies if you ask me though.

Good start hope you post more!

I can't believe there aren't loads more people commenting on this work. I've given you 5. Your lines are absolutely masterful. Both portraits and life drawings. A modern day Egon Schiele. Brilliant.

Thanks again for sharing
James.

First of all thanks! The words that you write fill up me of joy. Really!
Then I wanted to make a consideration on the users of this forum, see many persons that as designers are not good, but thanks to the modern instruments as the computer and graphic tablets succeed to create some thing of decent but lacking in style and thickness. This flattening sadden to me and it makes me to think that this is not the just forum for me.
I don't have nothing against the digital art but creed that before must makes boneses with the more traditional methods.

Ciao!

Hello! The pleasure is mine!I come from Prato, in Tuscany... Yes is true in these sketch there is the Mignola's influence, practically he is one of my preferred designers, adores its way to use the white and black therefore I had decided to try to imitate it...

This is a pretty weird but cool style you have. I mean, even if the pictures were terrible, they would still look good, the way you set them up.

I wish I could do that, lol.

wow, some very cool sketches for the comic panels! =)

I like the ink work too, but watch out for some of those faces, a little wonky in placs =)

Hi drd!! If you want to make this you must copy and when it possible from true and even the things that you like......8)
Hi Magic Man!! Thanks for yours compliment, but I haven't understood this:"but watch out for some of those faces, a little wonky in placs ".

hehe yeah, heavy b/w contrast, Mignola's one of my favourites too ;

Do you study fine arts or something?

I'm going to try and enter Belle Arti of Bologna (pittura fumetto e illustrazione) in september, so i'll have to build a portfolio like yours soon ;)

ciao

I'm happy for you !! I have made an animation's school in Florence. I have ended the past year but the things are not still successful to find job in this field... in Italy are enough difficult why even if collaborate to a plan would have to then find an other plan in order not to remain without job but it is impossible here , so I have abandoned the idea to become a animator. However I continue to design why it's one thing what that gives me much satisfaction .
