I hope this sketch dump will motivate me to draw more, as there is few more motivating things than to have poor arts up and the need to replace them with something cooler to show that you can do better (:
Starting with drawings from open air assignment at uni: (forgive me crappy photos, I have only a digicam in my cell phone P: )

and an elven girl a friend requested from me and then said that she totally sucked and looked like a boy P:
so i turned the sketch into a practice for a new colouring method (only a cropped fragment for now)

I hope to make and upload something new soon. Please, say what you think. (:

those sketches from life are very nice.. nice contrast. the caracter looks ok, but lacks a bit contrast in dark and lights. but the colors i really like. how long did you draw before?

@ped454 - huh, ill? meaning ugly? P: I dunno, I'm kinda anal-retentive when it comes to hatching, like if I don't hatch in one direction per surface, it just doesn't seem right :D
@Teh Gosu - the contrast in the first drawing comes actually from two factors: pen+ink and laziness. Man, hatching a 50x70cm sheet with only pen and ink is hell, though I can't say it didn't give me any masochistic pleasure P:
And you're right about the girl. I tend to suck at contrasting my digitals. God bless adjustment tools.
I made some teeny-weeny progress with the elven definitely-not-warrior (man am I slow). I think I'll manage to finish her before the next century, so all's progressing well!

Thanks everyone for kind comments!
It's been a long time, I think (:
Too bad I didn't use it wisely, was mostly drawing portraits, if anything.
And well, I finally finished the elven communist, though she didn't turn out so good, considering the amount of time I spent on her
