Wacom sizes, tell me what you think

Im finally at the point where i feel like it would be an investment to fork out the cash for a tablet, but, not having the opportunity to try the tablets out for myself, im having trouble deciding what the most appropriate size would be.

6x8 or 9x12?

Its quite a jump in cost between the two, but id rather pay the extra cash than end up feeling restricted on the smaller tablet.
Anyone have a suggestion?
