If you don't know what to wear for your first interview for a job to make a good first impression upon that employer then there is no reason to give you the answer XD

Don't wear sunglasses IN / during the interview. Shower, make sure your breath doesn't stink. Other than that... you're an artist and they expect you to be creative BUT they also expect you to be professional and reliable. IF the company has photos of their team / workplace up on their website check em' out. That should give you some insight into how they dress there.
Last comment... DON'T WEAR A SUIT!!!

Wear something nicer than jeans and a tee-shirt.

Thanks for the constructive comments peeps, i obviously know to make a god impression im not goin to go in torn jeans and a nasty t shirt. I was thinking along the lines of a smart pair of jeans and a smart shirt with nice clean shoes. what i intended the thread for was to clarify, i obviously was told at uni what sort of stuff to wear to interviews but i wanted the opinion of concept artists not lecturers.

I have read many times that it's ok to call HR in advance and ask them what the dress code of the company is.

Usually, artists new to the field wear smart casual. Veteran artists generally wear whatever the hell the feel like.
We once had this 10 year games industry artist come in for an interview wearing a t-shirt that looked like he had stolen it from a bum, and a hat he look like he stole from the Crocadile Dundee store, and some slippers that my mother probably threw out last year.
