Hey guys I made this sketch today, just finished it now thought you'd like to see, I am a beginner in this forum and would like C&C to help me improve , thanks.
I didnt use a reference picture of any sort, when yeah I know I shud have maybe. I tried a few different pencils out see how it would come out like, including, HB , 2H , 3B and 4B.

Okay, list-time:
Anatomy:
- The head is way too big for the body. You can go for the oversized-head route, but it still doesn't look like it 'fits' with the body.
- Something is incorrect with the shoulder on the left, in particular. I think that the bicept is on an odd curve which is accentuated by the strappy armor cutting across his chest.
- The pecs seem to be different shapes because of the shading, the left looking longer and thinner.
- The hand is too small and doesn't look 'tense', just like he's holding the spear.
- If he's screaming, really make it intense! There will be more wrinkles coming off the nose towards the cheeks, more wrinkle in the brow, creases at the corners of the eye, and the eye will be more closed than it is.
- The nose-ring looks like a booger. Even though it's small, some of the ring that is behind what we are seeing would still be visable.
Other:
- If there is wind in his hair, or if he is whipping around to face another enemy or something, ALL his hair has to move. While I dig the dual-Leonidas beard, the rest of his hair looks flat.
- Draw sections in the hair, this will help it look more real.
- Vary your shading techniques and add more values! The drawing is very grey and tones that are close to eachother blur together in ways you probably did not intend. Make the darks darker, the lights lighter, and add a greater variety of values.

Well that's hardly helpful critique. Although I will suggest that this thread be moved into the 'Critique' forum.
