Hey guys and gals,

I just joined today, but have always visited the site for a year or so.... So now I think im worthy enough to post some work of mine to see what kind of feed back ill get..

I am a self taught artist ive learn to draw all on my own all my life and just have practiced to get better...

Also if anyone could show me where I can get good photoshop brushes or just some tips on how to make brushes like the pros use.. cause I just use the brushes that photoshop provides... so if you can help me on that or just give addive or a link id appreciate it alot....

This is my first digital painting .... I thought id give it a shot and see if I could paint... I have a tablet at home so I plan to put it to more use...The ship is a low level ship build for flying at low ground ... possibly a fighter type vehicle...

If you can tell me what I could to make this more strong or a better concept....

Thanks for looking you guys:bashful:

Definately needs more guns...if it's a fighter ship...looks like you started something on the side. I'd add many more..maybe a big one mounted on top (machine gun) and some smaller projectile cannons or rocket launchers on the side. The painting is great, especially for your first work...wish my first looked this damn good. But add more meanness to it ;-)

Wow, whats with everybody here having amazing first works?

Anyways as cmoreland said it definitely needs more firepower. A for brushes it would be a good idea to search Deviant Art, although personally I find that works without brushes look alot better.

Nice ship! I like the way you've rendered it, looks very solid.

Definately want to beef it up a bit with some weapons though. I really like the streamlined design, so maybe some nice sleek missile pods on the sides would fit in with the look you've got going.

Keep it up! :)

Looks pretty good already.
I'd add some darker tones here and there, make the pic smaller so its easier to see for us, and some elements that match the ship concept.
For example; the guns, some kind of number or logo, or a door or something.
GL improving!

Thanks guys for the comments and opinions...

Other than guns is there anything else missing or something you would think that would overall make it pop more?

Ive already started to think of gun placement and missile placement... Just curious if theres any other corrections or anything I can add...

Again thanks guys for your help and ideas...

Hopefully will get a updated picture soon when I paint things on there..

Again can anyone link me to some really good photoshop brushes?

Interesting design!

There's no right way or wrong way to do a ship. But I did this overwork by way of suggesting that you can be a lot more agressive when your break up your shapes. It's hard to describe, so here's a quickish redo

YVerloc's design, but keep the rust, it makes it look better, more detailed.

Maybe something painted on, kind of like YVerloc's ship with a 125 or some number or the ships name on the side.

Ther's also a big hunk of... something on your (HeathMeister's) ship that looks to be the engine, but the exhaust/firey stuff comes does not come out so... waht exactly is it? ( I'm trying to help, but I'm not reallly into this stuff, so I'm 1/2 not sure what I'm saying <=D )
