I'm a southpaw myself and was just curious if any one else here was too.

I'm lefthanded but use the mouse with my right too. I'm wondering if I would be better in fps games if I was using it with my left. I tried swapping mouse hand but it doesnt work, I guess it's etched in permanently.

I'm a lefty, albeit a bit ambidextrous. Like Otis, I play sports right, use the mouse right handed, but write, draw left handed. Plus my brain is geared more towards being left handed. As they say, left handers are in the right state of mind.

Same as cotron, Blackhawk and otis. Lefty when I draw but a righty when it comes to sports.

Woo! There's a bunch of us here.
I draw and write with my left hand and am a left-handed pitcher, but I play guitar right-handed and I use my right for the computer mouse. I’d consider myself mostly left-handed though.

My grandma is ambidextrous.

Wow I thought I was the only one like that. Seems to be a pretty common lefty trait. I was ambidextrous in elementary school. I actually used to switch the pencil from left to right hand when I got to the middle of the paper. Teachers hated that. Now I write/draw with my left but mouse with the right. ALso when it comes to sports, I throw ball with my right but frisbee with the left. Tennis is much like the writing used to be. I don't have a backhand, I just switch the racket back and forth. It kinda freaks people out.

I'm pretty much the same as the rest of the mixed-up crew. I can write with both hands, mouse with my right (though that might just be more from convenience than anything else), throw right, bat left, play guitar right-handed, play fiddle lefty, etc.

The best trick I've seen is my dad, though. He can write forwards with his right hand and backwards with his left at the same time.

And a little Presidential trivia – James Garfield could write the same sentence in English with his left hand and German with his right hand at the same time.

Whoa Pconsidine, that's wild what your dad can do.

When I was in Kindergarten and learning to write, I always wrote everything backwards. The letters as well as the words. I'd see a word the write way, but copy it backwards. It took my parents and teachers over a year to break me out of it. (Nowadays I've retained the ability to read backwards writing pretty easily.)

Anyone other lefty have that experience too?

Rimwalker - I wrote and read backwards in kindegarten too. My parents had a lot of fun with that one, I think I still have the papers that show it somewhere in storage. It might be a common trait.

Another lefty here. Glad to see there are quite a bit. You know Einstein, and I'm pretty sure either DaVinci or Michelangelo (maybe both) were also lefties. Pretty bad ass huh, I guess we're meant to be great (hehe).
