Hi all. This is another environment piece for our class project. please let me know what you think
oh btw, i had a 900 polycount limit on this =)

OOOOhhh man, your textures need some work. The model you can't really say anything it is what it is.

Right now you're textures look like they are just repeating throught the model. You need to custom make the textures in according the model. For example, on the log railings you could add some corrosion to the edges of the logs, some nicks and cuts aorund the edges, make the tops more faded out from sunlight exposure versus the bottom. On you roof make an opacity map for the edges and make it look as if there are tears and holes in it. On the bottom of the poles/ladder holding it up, put some dirt and grime. Also for an overall better look pick a better color scheme that don't blend as much, it's a bit hard to tell the diff between the ladder and the wood because they are both grey.

in my opinion the tower is way to high. 896 could be optimized.
alpha maps man. this tower could be done in 300, that might be a stretch.
other than that looks good. dont mind the repeditiveness on the wood,
done think the average gamer would even notice this while there running around or whatever.

900 seems way high...

J Bradford - my teacher said the exact same thing, hehe. i'll post an update as soon as possible.
los and Erik, my instructor said to use the limit to it's max so going lower would mean an out of place model, at least with the rest of the models in the level.

hmm, i like it.....reminds me a a watchtower i encountered in the first "hitman" game....thanks for bringing back that memory that was my favourite level....

i think it looks too ordinary to be a goblin lookout, it looks like a simple guard tower of a normal human army, i'd like to see it a little more stylistic :)

I have to agree. It just does not look like a goblin tower. But it got me thinking ( a bad thing ) so I made a quick sketch of a goblin tower. Its acually just an old dead tree with shields strapped to it and a thatch roof(actually a bad idea, thatch, easy to torch)
