Good grief has no one read these? What are you people waiting for? Go buy Wizards First Rule and you'll thank me later.

Ok, NOW the post can die if need be..

I haven't read them but I work at the house that publishes them. Thanks for reading! Every book sold helps us all eat another day.

OK. Liked the first books 'n all. Guess they where ok. But after the third or so, I just found the plots really stupid. The reason was always some stupid ancient spell, and the writer could just throw up some stupid things you had to do tolift the hex. To sum it up, I didnt really like the plot as they wheren't meaningful enough to me, the way they where constructed.

Read the first book. Didn't like it too much...hated the part about how the evil wizard killed that little boy....that was sick.

yeah can be gruesome at times! I almost didn't pick up the others because of that but i'm a sucker and now i'm hooked. I agree with Distant Skies but only from about the Pillars of Creation onward. The previous books were alright I thought.

Don't really agree with the Objectivism that is pushed in the books but that doesn't deter me from the story itself.

I liked the first couple books, but then lost interest.

I didn't do a side-by-side comparison, but I remember when I was reading them that they seemed a bit too similar to certain parts of the Wheel of Time.

They are incredibly similar to the Wheel of Time. I find that bit amusing but they are a great read in their own right - darker and more sinister than the Wheel of Time, and so for me, far more interesting and realistic.

I am looking /very/ forward to the conclusion of the series in November with "Confessor" and I will miss Richard Rahl very much indeed. He is one of the most memorable characters ever written.

I would like to add though - that Tad Williams as an epic fantasy/sci-fi writer has it hands over fist compared to Robert Jordan and Terry Goodkind.

Lol I've read all of them i think n°8 was the last one released here so far. Must say the first 3 were the best.
I think i lost interest now and won't be buying the new releases.
