Heya Me,

I like the piece because it really does give sense of impending doom! The transperancy you have used for the sails is telling me that the light source (sun) is possibly behind the ship, I would really work with that and establish some shadows which will bring depth to the piece. Maybe the tenticle monster only comes up to the surface around dusk? Also right now you have a combination of brush strokes, what you may want to do is now go back into the piece and develop some brush strokes that will soften the transition between them, this is really based on style though and what you like.
