I need some help.

Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial or web page that shows exactly where every part of the human face/body goes when drawing a figure?

I've found a few pages and videos but they usually leave parts out. For example, one site will list how to divide the face up and show how to find the places for the eyes and the ears, but will leave out the location for the lips and hairline. I mean I can kinda eyeball it, but if I can I'd like to have something more precise.

Also the same applies to the body....I'll get the spill on dividing a line into 8 headshapes for the length of the body, and how to determine where to put the shoulders, but it the sites will leave out how long to make the arm, or where the hips should start.

One site I've been suggested to check out is that of Riven Phoenix, and while he is really good, he tends to leave out important parts of the structure of the figures. Like, for example, I remember watching him add certain points (he uses points in order to build his figures) to the page, but not telling how to find that point, or he'd just put a point here and there without telling how he determined that was where the points go for what he was drawing.

I hope this makes sense to everyone. I'd just like some really good suggestions on proportional drawing and structural drawing, but something that's solid and technical. Any suggestions like that would be great!

Thanks!!!

Two good places to look for figure proportion are Paul Richer's "Artistic Anatomy" and Gottfried Bammes's "The Artist's Guide to Human Anatomy". The text of Richer's book is horrible, as many people have remarked before, but the diagrams are very useful.

I've just obtained a book called Figure Drawing by Andrew Loomis which goes into wonderful details about drawing the head and body right from the start. Art shouldn't be about spending a lot of money, but it might be worth the expense. (the book can be downloaded, message me if you'd like further details.) It seems like quite an old book.

EDITED: Seems like that Andrew Loomis book is totally out of print. I've just looked on Amazon and it's £76.95 ($140) for a used copy!
