 okay...so I'm going for it! I'm no spring chicken, but it's time...I am back in school so I can learn how to visually express my work with the technology of NOW...yikes! My first shot at using Painter with this nifty graphic tablet I have recently been blessed with - okay so it's not exactly like using an easel with a canvas & a brush...but it's still a hell of a lot of fun -AND MUCH LESS OF A MESS! Any opinions - good or bad - are welcome!

good posting kre and welcome aboard!!!
now on the the matter at hand. on a dirct note , there is not point of focus in this picture the elemts are a bit fragmented , a poitn of focus will help this greatly u can do this with value as well as the action converging to the section u want to highlight.
there is a quality of flatness thats occuring , due to the fac that the shading isnt describing the form volumetricly . make the the light wrap around the forms , thus giving depth . take note that the edges need to be softer in areas , hard edges thrust an area froward and softer edges push areas back into space.
thanks for sharing the image great effort
