Although one of Marvels more hated characters (especially because of civil war), I haven't heard any updates here on the boards on the movie. It was scheduled to come out on the 2nd, but now it's just being advertised as "2008"

Downey would be the last person i can think of as the leading role in a superhero movie. Never cared much for the character anyway. Well, except for in the Sabbath song version that is.

well the couch jumping on Oprah and crazy quotes he has made in the press means he is not so bankable any more. Downey in superhero film could be worth a watch maybe a good marvel superhero film, there hasn't been one of those recently

its a nod to the orginal iron man suit before they jazzed it to the version everyone knows.

Heh. I look forward to it. I'm glad they decided to make an ironman movie. :)

I think they are in a really good position with this film. Everyone has seen what can be done with Batman begins and I think that has really set the bar in terms of developing a solid solid story before even concepting the cape and tights.

They have a great opportunity with this film and its potential sequels, the only thing they need to do now is DELIVER.
