Had a total of 4 people this time around, but have gotten a pretty huge response for the next one.

Looks like it's going to happen either on Saturday, Aug 16th or Sunday, Aug 17th... Looking more and more like this is going to be a Sunday thing based on feedback from emails I've gotten and people I've talked to. It's also been leaning toward being an 'every-other-week- thing, but I'm not against meeting weekly, personally.

cool, lets plan on next sunday at the spider house, in the meantime there is figuredrawing TONIGHT at the annex behind the AGE biulding on 38th and Cedar street in hyde park, the show starts at 7:00 pm and runs until 10pm and costs 5 bucks.

Hey guys, I'm not in Austin, but have been curious about the area. What is the weather like there? I hear it's kinda woody up there compared to Houston. Is it like an artist's community there? What is the job market like there?

John has been actively trying to get this going in Texas recently and i hope he succeeds, I went to my first session out at the Sandiego Comic-con and a large group of about 50 artists took over the bar next to the convention center. The rules are you draw in everyone elses sketchbook other than your own. I couldnt believe at how it made me loosen up and whip drawings out. I had a blast and met tons of guys in the Animation and video game industry. Here is the link to a bunch of pictures from the Comic-con and session

I've never been in a sketch session before, but I used to make people draw in my sketch journal when I traveld throughout France. I might start up somthing like this around my town! Does it kinda work like dsg? But with beer and friends face to face, of course.:chug:

but instead of wallowing in self pity afterwards,, i went to "I love video" and rented a samurai movie as a treat to myself..
