Even though I am new to posting here on CA, I have been reading posts and becoming downright amazing by most of the member's work. I am speachless to most, and to few.. I can only say work harder.

But, I joined up because I like the community, and I would only join if I though positive things would come to me.

With that being said, I am looking for motivation.

For the longest of time that I've known to be artistic, I can do mechanical stuff (mechs, guns, spacecrafts,etc-etc) very well. But its with the organic material that I find it hard to draw.

The only organic beings I can create almost flawlessly are dragons, formless blobs (always fun to draw), and most of the time dinosaurs and other things to that group.

I have drawn half-decent humans, but have always given up on them. Currently, I have been trying to improve the way I draw females -males get old, and I improved them already. But with the female gender, it is way harder. You know why, the small muscle mass of sexy figures.

You could just say that I need to learn the human body's muscle anatomy -but I have searched for sources.

I've looked at libraries for books on the anatomy -all turned out negative. I gave up there. Searched internet (not hard enough I suppose) and turned up nothing there either.

So, I must request good resources from you guys, that is if you don't mind helping me out! :)

I also don't have a scanner, so I can't show off my work for now. But I will once I get a job in the mere future.

Till then, I will be nothing but text! TeeHeeHee, oh well... I surely hope this wasn't to long of a post for you guys (as I know you are all busy with your art).

Before I leave, I'd love to talk to some of you on AIM! My screen name is NeuroShackle if you are interested!

Sincerely,
Axionite

A good source on learning exaggregated anatomy are the books of Burne Hogarth. I had the luck of my life, when my dad bought me one of his books back when I was eleven. For a year, the thing became my bible. I did not understand a word written in there, but the pictures screamed with the secrets of anatomy, so I tried to comprehend. After soaking up everything there was, I began watching out for normal people and tried to understand problems about things Hogarth didn't mention.
So for you, life studies and studies from anatomy books will be important. Try to get some life drawing classes and good anatomy books to start through. If it doesn't work instantly don't give up, because it takes years to understand the human body. It's more a question of your own ambition, than it is one about talent.
I wish you luck.
