My name is Samantha and I'm new to the forums. I have been interested in becoming a concept artist for the longest time. Right now, it seems the only career choice I want. I'm in a computer applications class right now that stresses the importance of preparing for college and a career. Right now we are doing a project that involves a lot of detail on preparing for this career but I'm having difficulties coming up with information on becoming a concept artist. Every time I search 'concept artist' I come up with this website. I was hoping someone here would be able to point me in the right direction, such as with what kind of college education I should pursue? I would also greatly appreciate it if anyone could give me information on a concept artist's average annual salary for both beginners and experienced concept artists.

This would greatly help me, seeing as this is my final project in this class. Thank you so much for the help!

Answers to at least part of your question can be found in the links in my sig "Concept Art 101" and "games industry". That, and try using the forum search feature here. There is lots of discussion on concept art!
