After taking 4 classes of life drawing I'm starting to really get my hand in doing those light and shadows. Been too busy with gesture, proportions, shape, etc. :)

All of these drawings were done with a 6B pencil. The scans are darker than they really are, just to let you know.

I just hope I can get myself to keep on drawing now that I don't have class anymore. :)

yo I think you should work on speed a lot more. Work on using your upper arm more and getting more with less. Get the main shapes down before you start to shade. -zeno p.s.: look at some of fredflickstone's works.
