I need some suggestions on drawing, concerning drawing landscape-type scenes. When I start to a landscape or scene from a distance, I end up with a page of majority blank white space....meaning that I usually will have a horizon line, a tree or two, and maybe a house, or catle or mountain in the distance, but nothin' else really...just kinda blah.

I guess at that point I draw a blank...I don't know where to go with my pictures....to give it depth, or a sense of what I'm wanting to see in my art.

If this makes any sense, please everyone, tell me how you'd combat this problem???

Thanks!

I have a prob making up interesting landscapes as well. But i do have an action plan, just need to get around to it. I plan to draw landscapes from pictures and life, see what works and what doesn't. I'll also study some paintings and drawings that look cool environmentwise and pay attention to what makes them look cool. Also I think just drawing geometric shapes in perspective and trying to achieve a sence of depth will be useful. That's what I plan to do anyway..

Do you have an example that we can see.Maybe we can provide some ideas? I know that when ever a person is trying to complete a landscape piece with depts. They can maybe make a tree closer or bigger to provide the distance Or you can have a stream to give it flow.
