Art discussion, maybe.
And I don't know, many artists have said they saw a huge improvement in their work after investing in a tablet. Daniel Conway, for example, stated that it was a huge learning curve and often says that using a mouse is like painting with a brick.

I agree it won't improve your art, but a good tool
(as in a tool you're comfortable workin with) can help
you progress faster I think.
I'm currently switching back and forth between pencils and OpenCanvas,
because sometimes I'm just not comfortable with one of the too.
Maybe I'm not in the mood for smearing graphite and paper that crumbles
constantly, so I'll switch to OC because it provides me with a working space
that never gets that dirty that I can't fix it within the blink of an eye and that
really sets me free to explore without worrying about changing drawing paper,
sharpening my pencil etc.
Or maybe I need this personal connection between my drawing tool and the
surface I'm altering, that distinctive scratching sound of pen on paper.
Then I'll pick the pencil over the stylus.
Will one improve my art better or faster than the other?
I don't think so.
All I know is that always using the tool I'm most comfortable with at any
given moment keeps me a happy space monkey, pulling levers, pushing buttons.
And that leads to improvement in the end.
Or so I hope. ; )
