Hello.
I´m working with a friend, I gave him some drawings and he colored them.
These are just fast tests, we want to know your opinions before going on.
Thanks!

The second image is really fantastic, excellent pose and anatomy. The hard and soft focus is well implemented, too.
The first image has a nice creature design, seems almost like something prehistoric, but the composition is a little too static and the girl's right (far) arm is hard to see

They are both looking wonderful.
Just be careful where you use the black, cuz it can overpower your piece.

I definitely prefer the first one. I find the extreme contrast of the second piece a little too much, even though the lighting effects are well done. I just prefer the more … sedate(?) feeling I get from the first piece.
Sorry I can't find more constructive words. Stupid english language. :)

I realize I am pretty much just echoing previously mentioned ideas here, but I like them both. I definately like the second one more out of the two, but I find the first to be strong in different ways (save for that right (far) arm).
Love the sparklyness of the wizard's clothes....

Very nice.
Only advice: put a nice shadow underneath the creature's neck and head.

Thanks to all for replying!
We expected more crits than compliments, so we are a little surprised. My friend is a really good artist, but too modest and self-critical.
I hope we´ll keep on working together.

THese are fast? THey look pretty damn finished to me, i love em! The linework is great, and tell your friend the coloring is beautiful.
For crits: The peak highlights look a little burnt out and they fall flat as one color; there are areas where highlights go completely white, but look like they have been lightly covered with a light color. Like on the second guys head and ponytail, the highlight on the left of his head and on his ponytail is just flat blue. Like a light blue with no varation in the tone. It looks odd because the highlight should be warm hues, not cool like blue. This probably isnt making much sense because i dont really know how to explain it properly, but basicly a lot of the hightlights are too hot or burnt out. Hope that makes some sense to you, if it dont im sorry.
I did a touch up of how i think it should look, but i cant post images cause my site got shut down. If you wanna give me your email ill send it to you. I think it could help and it definately makes more sense then my written explanation.

I think both of these look great so far. I would encourage him to carry on with the same enthusiasm that brought him to this point. I look forward to seeing the end result.
