Hello all! I am going to try to keep up a sort of sketchbook here now and appreciate any kind of constructive criticism that you may want to throw at me!
Currently I am preparing to start a 3 year degree level in Illustration and really trying to get my drawing skills up up up!
I focus on handmade things, not really touching the digital side of art much.
Well! Enough rambling. Here are today's referenced people sketches!

Lively sketches! Is the girl in the bowler hat a self-portrait?

I'm afraid not! She is from a British ad about... banking I think! She's also very pretty :D

The silhouette of the critter looks damn nice, and works with those colors and spots, but the dude's head nees a bit of checking. He does read as a head, just a very strange one. Check out a profile view of a guys head and you'll see - mostly I'm bothered by the neck and the shape of the skull.

Funny part is, that the silhouette of the head is of a female who looks very much like a guy, but you are right about the shape of it. I now notice that she barely has a back head! I'll think about that next time :D

More stuff from today! Had to take photos of the two collages since they are too wet and sticky to go in the scanner.
Also find that I cannot upload half of my stuff here because of size stuff. Is it very bad to use the IMG tag? I saw that the mods advice against it... :o

I like the one with the tea bag alot, I was wondering though how much time you spent on the first few drawings. Were they just quickies or is that a usual drawing?

They were kind of quick sketches. I am practising my ability to draw quickly without overworking things (as I normally always do). So the first life sketches took me from.. 5-10 minutes. The dude with the pipe probably took longer due to the hand. I am still very slow at this realistic stuff!

Haha! Last piece with the teabag was made in a coffee shop yesterday when I didn't want any more tea! :D Used the head of my main character for my Nebo story to convey my emotion!
